Organization the 4th Summer Ophthalmology School in Iasi is a confirmation that the city has become a Center of Excellence in ophthalmology and another proof that OPHTHALMO SCIENCE & OPHTHALMO-EXCELLENCE are constant concerns in Iasi.

Iasi (the city of the 7 hills) located in the northeastern part of Romania, is an important political, economic, academic and cultural center and one of the oldest cities in Romania. During 1916-1918, Iasi  was the capital of Romania. The city of Iasi is proud to be the place where the first Romanian newspaper appeared, it is also the home of the first Romanian university (1860, by the decision of Alexandru Ioan Cuza) and it is currently the second largest university center in Romania. Iasi is a city with a rich historical, cultural, and academic heritage, which offers many attractions that we invite you to visit and enjoy.

All these are arguments for your presence at this event, which is both scientific and friendly, and which aims at a continuous evolution of medicine in ophthalmology and optometry, being interested in developing new partnerships and encouraging the realization of research projects in the medical field.

Along with our appreciation for your efforts, this is an impulse and an obligation for us to design a useful and engaging scientific event.

The event will take place in a hybrid format (on-site & online). Obviously, on-site participation will comply with the regulations in force, but also additional safety rules because health has absolute priority, because your health, ours and those around us is the most important!

The main purpose of this scientific event is to improve the competence and performance of the target audience by providing state-of-the-art educational content in the field of ophthalmology, which presents the latest advances in current therapies and clinical research.

We are certain that the academic excellence of the papers will contribute in making this event a truly memorable one, and that we will have the privilege of discovering here, in Iasi, not only outstanding pages of history but also a remarkable tradition of the Romanian School of Ophthalmology.

We hope that this event will be a good opportunity for beautiful memories, stronger friendship, new national and international connection, a pleasant time, and an optimal opportunity for the exchange of knowledge,  to generate new ideas, concepts, strategies and practical skills in national and international ophthalmology and optometry fields, for the benefit of patients and the prestige of ophthalmology and optometry.

We invite you to join us in organizing this event, participating with your own works and novelties, both to make known the latest news and acquisitions in the field of ophthalmology and optometry, and to open the eyes of young residents on the fascinating fields of ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology, and also disseminating this information to all interested people.

Do not forget to mark the dates of  June 7-11, 2022, in your professional activities calendar as being reserved for the scientific sessions of the 4th Romanian Ophthalmology Summer School.

We look forward to seeing you in Iasi, a well-known cultural and academic center, in a season that gives the city unmistakable beauty, vigor and freshness, between June 07-11, 2022.
